One In Person, One Virtual!

Flyer about American Graveyard Book Launch.

The first reading is a virtual launch of the second volume of American Graveyard from Read or Green Books, on Sat. Oct. 24, at 12 p.m. Eastern. My ten-minute reading segment begins at 12:40 p.m. Eastern/9:40 a.m. Pacific. I will be the third reader! The event continues until 4 p.m. Join prior to my segment and stay as long as you like to hear stirring witness poems objecting gun violence in our country. My poem is “October 25, 2023 – Lewiston, Maine.” It is interesting timing to be reading, almost three years later to the day of the mass shooting in Lewiston. I will also read from my new chapbook, Paddling the Sweet Spot Between Life and Death, perhaps a new poem too.

Here are the Facebook and Zoom links for connecting to the reading:

Live in Port Townsend!

I will also read in person with Gary Copeland Lilley and Joanne Clarkson at the Port Townsend Public Library on Thurs. Oct. 29, at 6-7 p.m. Port Townsend Poet Laureate Rufina C. Garay will host the event. As Gary has been a mentor for years, and Joanne and Rufina also studied with Gary as my classmates, this is a wonderful reunion for us. We hope to see many friends there, poets and readers!

Poems of the Moment:

“Join the City of Port Townsend Poet Laureate, Rufina C. Garay and local poets as they read poems that reflect observations, vulnerabilities, and ‘waypoints’ of the moment. Free, all ages welcome, bring good questions. This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Port Townsend Library.”
