Following a fantastic reception in Everett, Wash., for Everett Poetry Night, I received word today that Bellevue Literary Review has highlighted my chapbook in their online Bookshop.org store!
If you would like to do a good turn, purchase Paddling the Sweet Spot directly through my publisher, Finishing Line Press, or through Bookshop.org. Also, Port Angeles locals may find my chapbook at Port Book and News. Support small publishers and independent bookstores whenever you can.
There were about 20 of us in attendance at Everett Poetry Night last night, an event, founded and led by Duane Kirby Jensen, that has been held for about 20 years. Five lovely souls purchased Paddling the Sweet Spot after my reading. Members chipped in donations toward my gas money! I was in shock when provided cash clipped to a beautiful pen garnished with flowers, made by one of the community’s members. Poets are generous people.

Another way readers may assist others in finding Paddling the Sweet Spot is to review it on Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, or Amazon, if that’s where you do most of your purchasing. It really helps for book buyers to read what others think.
I’ve received some really wonderful emails and messages from readers expressing how the book has affected them positively, what they appreciate about it. This poet is feeling very supported!
Thank you, thank you!
Laura
